The Pin Cushion
Chosen for a re-branding project, which takes a pre-existing logo and refining it in my own style is the franchise: The Pin Cushion, a female owned piercing and tattoo shop located in Frisco, Texas. For this logo, the goal was to modernize the company while maintaining the edgy style that has been adopted by the shop’s atmosphere.
LOGO REWORKED
With a reworked logo, The Pin Cushion can be a step ahead of its competitors with a cleaner, more simplified look. Here, the new logo took inspiration from the original by keeping a sans serif typeface, using Trade Gothic Regular and Bold, and still using red, black and silver as the brand’s primary colors.
Products
Taking personal experience into consideration, products such as piercing aftercare were made to fit for the brand, as having to locate aftercare elsewhere can be a hassle, especially with new piercings—when the careful upkeep is most needed. It is also helpful for those new to body modifications who aren’t sure how to properly care for their new piercings. The stretching kit is for well-versed individuals who can handle doing body modifications at home, rather than paying extra for a piercer to do it in shop.
